Providing athletes with free health screenings is an important part of every Special Olympics event, and Kaiser Permanente spearheaded the effort as the Official Health Partner of the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle.
Throughout the Games, 615 care providers completed 7,125 health screenings.
Our care didn’t end there: More than 450 of our care providers assisted with abrasions, muscle cramps and sprains on the sidelines. And nearly 1,500 of our workforce and members from all over the nation volunteered to “rise and thrive,” serving as greeters at the airport and boosters in the stands
We are committed to inclusion for all — and to giving everyone a chance to thrive.
