colorectal cancer screenings
Kaiser Permanente performed 2,106,123 colorectal cancer screenings in 2017.*
When colon cancer is caught early, it’s curable 90 percent of the time.
To encourage more screenings, we employ the most comfortable one possible: Called F.I.T. — short for “fecal immunochemical test” — this test is quick and easy, and you can use it in the privacy of your own home.
We do other tests as well, including the fecal occult blood test, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. Kaiser Permanente care providers work with our members to determine the best tests for them.
